In August, Ben and I took a weekend trip to Boston to visit a friend of his and so he could show me around the city. I had never been to Boston and always wanted to go! Ben went to grad school there and then worked there after, so he has a special place in his heart for the city. I fell in love with its historical charm as well. After we got home to DC, we went out to dinner and I brought up the idea of moving back to Boston. We decided that since Ben had the contacts there, he would start looking and see if anything popped. Amazingly, he got two interviews within the first week and ended up taking the second job!
A few weeks later, we found an amazing apartment in Beacon Hill and now we're packing up and moving up north! Ben started his job a week ago and I'm joining him as soon as I get my job situation figured out. Long distance is rough, but we're making it work for now, and soon we'll be full-time residents of Boston!
